Privacy Policy

Packr ("the app") is a personal packing-list tool that helps you build and check off packing lists for your trips. This policy explains what information Packr collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Packr is operated by Jesse Haynes.

Information We Collect

Packr collects only what it needs to run your account and store your trips:

• Email address. Used to create and sign in to your account. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the email address associated with that account.
• Account identifier. An internal user ID that ties your trips to your account.
• Your trip content. The packing lists, item quantities, destinations, trip dates, and any itinerary notes you enter or paste into the app.

Packr does not collect your device location. When you enter a destination for a weather forecast, that is a place name you type, not your device's GPS location.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to provide the app's features: signing you in, saving and syncing your trips, showing a weather forecast for a destination you enter, and letting you share a trip with a travel companion you choose. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.

Tracking and Advertising

Packr does not track you across other apps or websites, does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not share your data with data brokers.

Sharing With Others

The only time your trip information leaves your account is when you deliberately share a trip. When you send a travel companion a trip, they receive the itinerary you chose to share. We otherwise do not disclose your information to third parties, except where required by law.

Weather Data

To show a forecast, the destination and dates you enter are sent to a third-party weather service to retrieve the forecast. Your account identity is not shared with that service.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on our server and protected by standard measures including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your account and trip data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at the address below, and we will remove it.

Children's Privacy

Packr is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
